Privacy Policy

What Deedroll collects, why, who processes it, how long it is kept, and what you can ask us to do.

What we collect

Your name, email address and password hash when you create an account. The property, tenant, loan, ledger and repair records you enter. The documents you upload. Security events such as sign-ins, recorded with the IP address and browser they came from.

Why we collect it

To run the service you signed up for: to show you your portfolio, to keep your records, to send you a verification or password-reset email, and to protect your account. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.

Who processes it

  • A managed Postgres database provider, for your records.
  • An object storage provider, for the documents you upload.
  • A transactional email provider, for verification and reset emails only.

Each processes data on our instructions and under a written agreement.

Tenant information

You may record a tenant’s name and contact details against a lease. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to hold that information; Deedroll stores it for you and does nothing else with it.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account is open. Anything you delete stays in Recently deleted for 30 days so you can restore it, then is deleted for good, files included; you can also delete it for good sooner from there. When you close your account, your records and documents are deleted within 30 days. Security logs are kept for 12 months.

Your rights

You can export your data at any time from within the app. You can ask us to correct or delete it, or to send you a copy, by writing to hello@deedroll.com.

Cookies

One session cookie keeps you signed in. There are no advertising or analytics cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will tell you by email before the change takes effect.
